Dhusamareb -Somalia – Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre arrived in Dhusamareb the administrative capital of Galmudug state on Wednesday.
According to reliable sources the premier is scheduled to spearhead a deal between regional leader Abdi Kariye Qorqor and President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud favorite candidate in upcoming regional polls.
President Qorqor is reportedly to have accepted to exit the regional leadership on negotiated settlement avoiding chaos similar to Southwest regional state.
Meanwhile PM Barre said his visit provides an important opportunity to engage with elders, community leaders, women, youth, and other stakeholders on our shared aspirations for national development, reconciliation, and prosperity.
He added that his government will continue advancing the state-building gains that have been achieved and strengthen the bonds that unite us as one nation. I look forward to productive discussions and meaningful engagements that will contribute to a brighter future for Galmudug and for Somalia as a whole.
