Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, says peace negotiations with the United States are not “close” to reaching an agreement.
Baghaei stated that the differences between Tehran and Washington remain “deep and significant,” adding that it is difficult to predict whether a deal could be reached within “weeks or months.”
He also said the current negotiations are mainly focused on ending hostilities and reducing tensions, while detailed discussions on Iran’s nuclear program are not yet part of the talks.
The comments come amid ongoing diplomatic efforts and regional mediation aimed at easing tensions between Iran and the United States following months of conflict and instability in the region.
