Somali Referee Responds to Fake Social Media Claims

Somali FIFA referee Omar Abdulkadir Artan has broken his silence over a social media account falsely claiming to represent him on X, formerly known as Twitter.

On his official Facebook Account Omar said he never had an X account in his life.

” Any account on X doesnot represent me. My accounts are always verified and any unverified accounts you see in any platform doesn’t represent me.” Omar clarified.

Adding that he also saw statements made in the said account which he described as disgusting which doesn’t represent him.

Omar received hero welcome at Mogadishu stadium on Wednesday evening after arriving back from US where he was denied entry.

The Somali government officials including the President and PM have also welcomed him on red carpet.

US received heavy backlash for denying entry to Africa best referee.
