
The Government of kenya has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its partnership with the Global Fund to accelerate efforts in the fight against HIV, tuberculosis (TB) and malaria.
Principal Secretary for Medical Services Dr. Ouma Oluga made the commitment during a meeting with a Global Fund delegation led by Senior Portfolio Manager Paul MacCarrick. The discussions focused on the implementation of Grant Cycle 7 and preparations for Kenya’s Grant Cycle 8 funding request.
Dr. Oluga said the Government will prioritise strengthening the Social Health Authority, expanding digital health, improving commodity security, investing in resilient health systems, leveraging artificial intelligence, promoting local manufacturing and advancing Universal Health Coverage through Taifa Care.
He reaffirmed Kenya’s commitment to working closely with the Global Fund and other partners to improve healthcare delivery and health outcomes across the country.
